CQuartz offers incredible hydrophobicity, gloss, and UV resistance — but it’s not immune to scratches or damage from improper washing. A good technique not only protects your investment, it enhances performance and appearance over time.

The Right Way to Wash Your CQuartz Coated Car

1. Wash in the Shade or When Cool

Heat can cause soap to flash-dry, leaving spots or streaks behind. Work in the shade or early/late in the day for best results.

2. Use a pH-Neutral Car Wash Soap

Skip the all-purpose or degreasing cleaners. Use a soap designed specifically for ceramic coatings and pH-balanced to avoid breaking down the CQuartz layer.

3. Try the Multi-Towel Method

To avoid swirl marks, use several microfiber towels instead of reusing one with a two-bucket system:

• Fill a clean bucket with soapy water.
• Dip in a fresh microfiber towel.
• Wipe one panel, then discard that towel for washing later.
• Use a new towel for the next panel.

This keeps dirt from re-entering the paint surface.

4. Foam Pre-Soak (Optional but Recommended)

If you have a foam cannon, pre-soak the car with soap foam to loosen up dirt and reduce the need for scrubbing. It’s especially helpful with spring pollen and winter road grime common in PA.

5. Dry with Soft, High-GSM Towels

Dry gently with premium microfiber drying towels. Avoid circular motions — blot or pull in straight lines for best results.
